Our Patient Phil Does 4th Spartan Race: in Red Deer
Our patient Phil, born with cerebral palsy, is off to Alberta again this weekend to undertake his 4th Spartan Race of the season, in Red Deer! His goal's to prove physical disabilities do not mean limitations and to raise money for Shriners Hospitals for Children - Canada. He's already done Spartan Races in Toronto, Montreal and Calgary this summer.
Phil is 19 and has had 4 surgeries and countless hours of physiotherapy at Canada Shriners Hospital. It wasn’t sure he’d run or walk properly… but thanks to his determination and the care at our hospital, he is now doing Spartan Races, considered among the toughest obstacle courses in the world.
Encourage him by donating to his Spartan Race fundraiser. All funds go towards helping more kids like Phil walk, run… or even complete a Spartan Race.
Al Azhar (Calgary) and Al Shamal (Edmonton) Shriners will also be on hand at the Spartan Races in Red Deer, Saturday, September 3 and Sunday, September 4. They will be out volunteering on behalf of Canada Shriners Hospital. Spartan Race will thank each volunteer by giving a donation to Canada Shriners Hospital to help more kids like Phil. If you'd like to volunteer and earn the hospital a donation, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
